鉴于穆龙套金矿赋存于古生界碳质岩系中，具有层控矿床的特点，在我国西天山寻找此类矿床注意以下几点：

In view of the characteristics of stratabound deposits in the Paleozoic carbonaceous rock series, and the characteristics of stratabound deposits in the Western Tianshan Mountains, we should pay attention to the following points:

（1）远景区应位于区域性的推覆构造带和深大断裂带的边部及交汇处。金矿知韧性剪切带中的层位可分为两种，一种在区域性次级韧-脆性过渡构造带中，另一种即位于大型剪切带的核部。

(1) the prospective area should be located at the edge of the regional nappe structure belt and the deep fault zone. There are two types of gold deposits in the ductile shear zone, one is in the regional secondary ductile brittle transition zone, the other is located in the core of the shear zone.

（2）穆龙套型应有一定程度的层控特点，应与古生界（包括前古生界）碳质岩系的分布有直接关系。

（3）无论金矿赋存在韧性剪切带的什么部位，矿床的围岩蚀变应基本相同,如金矿围岩常见的黄铁矿化、硅化、钾化、绢云母化、绿泥石化、碳酸盐化等。
