近年来，浮选工艺流程的革新改造以及科研成果很多，效果明显。阶段磨浮流程，重—浮联合流程等，是目前我国浮选工艺发展的主要趋势。如湘西金矿采用重—浮联合流程，进行阶段磨矿阶段选别，获得较好指标，回收率提高6%以上；焦家金矿、五龙金矿、文峪金矿、东闯金矿等也取得一定的效果。又如新城金矿，原流程为原矿直接浮选，由于含泥较高（矿石本身含泥高，再加采矿尾砂胶结充填强度不够，带入部分泥砂）使选矿指标连续下降。经考查试验，采用了泥砂分选工艺流程，回收率由93.05%提高到95.01%，精矿品位135g/t提高到140g/t，稳定了生产。
